I've been working a/c issues on the same model as yours(different year).
Post your low side manifold pressure reading and your high side manifold pressure reading. Take the reading at 2,000 rpm. You'll of course need a set of R-12 manifold gauges to do this test.
I am not an a/c expert, but I can tell you that manifold pressure readings in most cases are the first step in diagnosing a/c issues. Gotta have 'um.
