I hadn't thought od that, but you're probably right.
We sent boat drivers and boats today and will again tomorrow. The briefing we had was that there are some areas in which non-military, non-police relief will be prevented from entering. Our guys are sticking to metro and uptown. Apparently gangs have busted into gun shops and looted them. The NG is supposed to clean them out.
The LANG has experience as combat teams in Iraq in GW I&II. Gangsters aren't going to enjoy the consequences of pulling down on them. Also, Harry Lee (sheriff) instructed his law enforcement to treat looters extremely harshly. Those guys don't play, either.
