I'm betting that the frequency and intensity of tropical storms is weakly correlated with global warming, whatever the cause of global warming. I think that the weather and climatic records indicate a warming trend and I think there is some correlation to the exponential increase in greenhouse gases since the industrial revolution. I think the USA and the rest of the world's population should undertake measures to reduce, in real terms, the introduction of anthropogenic greenhouse gases.

Only a complete freaking fool would think that a butterfly in buffalo's ass has anything to do with hurricanes.

If Kyoto had been signed and fully implemented to the greatest degree possible, there would have been NO EFFECT on the current level of greenhouse gases. The SAME conditiosn would have been present today whether or not the USA embraced Kyoto when it was passed by Congress (anybody remember when that was?).

Gases would have continued to increase but to a lesser attributable degree to the USA. It's a dumbass comment by a couple of nitwits scoring political points in a time of national disaster. F-em both.
