The skeptic in me wants to wonder if some of it is just political a$$-kissing.... and to wonder if they are just putting on a nice show for the media, since they know we aren't really in dire need of the money....at least not nearly to the degree that many nations would be, after such a catastrophe.......
But the optimist part of me would like to believe that perhaps some of the help we've given to other nations in the past was appreciated more than I thought.
Regardless, it's nice to see.

I was pleasently surprised as well. Of course, Germany offers help with one side of the mouth and criticizes us about global warming with the other. Venezuela pretty much the same thing but not about global warming rather our government response.
Haven't heard that from other countries, they have just offered help, period. To me that was nice to see as well. I don't think we'll need it but it's the thought that counts. We'll make it through this.
