my guess, it's something with current/voltages...
...my father's '91 300D-Turbo had the same problem, occasionally. And when the problem was there, after shutting down, the car didn't want to start (not even a crank, no current at all) ..
The connector to the negative pole on the battery was heavily corroded, we removed and cleaned it, reinstalled and tightened it and the car was back in normal shape and never showed that studdering and anti-lock problem again.
Maybe the OVP relay is the troublemaker in your case..
