I'm starting to loose interest in purchasing a 98 or 99 E300. This current market is crazy.

On Ebay watched a 99 E300 w/ 69,000 sell for $25,200.
I can "buy it now" a 2000 E320 w/44,000 miles for $18,500.

$6,700 upgrade for a one year older diesel engine car with 25,000 more miles???? I think a brand new CDI is only $750 more than a gas model. What's the upgrade on a brand new big 3 pickup, $4500?

I sure love the diesels, but $6700 in my pocket would sure feel good in the gas car. Ya, I could sell a E300 for more down the road, but I think I'd have to drive about 70,000/year to make the numbers work.
