Try this. Does the A/C compressor work? That will run regardless of the fan being busted or not. If not, the pushbutton control unit might be to blame.

If the PBC unit is ok, see if the fan works when you reinstall it. If it doesn't, chances are the blower regulator burned out if the fan seized. It's a delicate solid state component that has little tolerance to bizzare electrical conditions.
