Regarding the switches, you could always check out an electronics supply shop for rocker switches you find attractive...that would control the elements in whatever variation you choose. You could then wire them in place of the stock switches. I've seen a few that are hi/off/low with an led on them around. the stock switches are rectangular and shouldn't be hard to find if that's what's stopping you...best of luck
