You may also get a bulb that appears silver or bluish when not illuminated but glows orange when blinking. I used the Sylvania/Osram SilverStar "Chrome" bulbs (#1157A ST), purchased at Advance Auto Parts. Not cheap but they look better in clear corners than the orange bulbs. My first set of clear corners were "knock offs' - poor quality and quite clear, showing the bulb in plain sight. After three years the rubber/plastic gasket material deteriorated and the general quality wasn't very good. Replaced them recently with a set of
Bosch clear corners. Much better quality and the bulb is not as visible inside. They look a little less "bright" alongside the european headlight lenses. You get what you pay for!
