The funding of the levees and the funding of the dome are two different things. To say it is NOLA gov's fault is silly at best.

In other words, if you have a federal highway that needs to be paved, FEDERAL dollars pay for the repave NOT local.

And the same goes the other way. Local roads are NOT funded by federal dollars.

It would seem you've ventured into yet another realm where double-talk and smoke/mirrors won't work.

The FEDERAL gov. was responsible for maintaining the levees (FUNDING WISE) (majority). ACoE estimated the job @ $40M, and the BUSH administration said NO, we'll give you $2M (and then later gave another $250K)... ACoE said, there is too much to be done and the levees are in a state of peril from sinking (mostly). Bush still said NO.

BUT BUT BUT BUT BUT we had the money to give BILLIONS to ISRAEL and IRAQ and AFGANISTAN.

How the hell is that right? How the hell can ANY human justify that??????? We give money away while our OWN people are left to die? We give money away while OTHER countries spend it doing research (FSC)?

Stop the crap. The blind-bush supporters know they are wrong, and lucky for the rest of us, little by little they are backing away from him.
