The wiring harness we're plagued with came to my mind as well when I read about the Ford recall. What also came to my mind is that it took over 600 complaints and three deaths before Ford was prompted into action. I'm sure there are many fires that resulted - I remember seing one on the news a couple of months ago.

My point is that I don't think we ever have a chance with the wiring harness issue. Nobody has died and nobody has yet had a devastating fire from this problem.
