The crankshaft position sensor was redesigned due to poor engineering the first time around. You will most likely never have to replace again. The Mass air sensor is a different story. These seem to fail quite often, sometime right out of the box. The failed seat belt/ ABS sensor was probably a broken contact that triggered the light. Rotors and pads are routine. The ball joints are also known to fail and are one of the MANY possible failures looked at when your car goes under Service A or B. SO, what I'm saying is.........your previous problems most likely have nothing to do with your current alternator problem. In my opinion.....fix it yourself. Not too tricky at all, and I'm by no means anything close to a mechanic.

Good Luck!
