Rob, 11 mpg is definitely low; I'll see 15 or so at the very lowest, running FGS full-time. Also, my vacuum ("economy") gauge behaves exactly as you'd expect--throttle position and engine load move it smoothly and consistently. Our cars will indeed tolerate some problems without saying much; I'd get it checked out.
