Some times they can be the same! ON your car there is a throttle valve switch on the throttle body that is (should be) on (closed position) when the car is at idle. IT informs the ECU that the engine are at rest.

Can be tested with OHM meter.

ON the side of the air flow housing there is an "air flow position sensor". THAT sensor can cause idle problems!
