I have replaced rings, bearings, and had a valve job done on an inline 6 gasser, Triumph TR6. Is there a lot of difference in doing the same kind of work on a 2.2 diesel? I have never worked on a diesel, although my brother is a diesel truck mechanic.

Any pros and cons will be appreciated.
