Oh hey, I was laughing cause it sounded true and real. I can imagine an officer who liked good coffee taking pity on some guys drinking flavored battery acid like that.
Jeez, I've been in some little roadside diners where I seriously wondered how they could make coffee that uninspiring.
Don't tell anyone, but they've got a two store chain (some chain, huh?) of coffee shops here in B-town (the Roma Cafe) that has some of the best house coffee I've had. Espresso is a PITA much of the time -- too expensive and too slow. The normal drip kind these guys have is way rich and exotic. Dah - yum, it's good.
