The heater blower of a 115 is a PITA to get to. Some cut the firewall to simplify R&R.

We're kinda forgetting the maintenance history aspect. A car that's been neglected will need more work than a car that's been properly maintained. Even in the $1500 range it's possible to find a car that's had the major items serviced recently vs a car that looks pretty but needs front end work, rear wheel bearings, tranny service, etc.
