you can also get free shipping from most. I too like the micro switch idea...but you really have to look at this practically. How much time and money do you really want to spend on safeguarding a 20 dollar item that is easily replaced? And...in the case of our thread starter...it may be the same guys. Piss them off...hmmm, may not be worth doing anything about it.

And...they sell the replacement star for 17...just in case you do forget to take it..and it gets stolen...they are able to steal it without damaging anything...and for 17 bucks...you can just buy the star without the base.
