I used to have an 87 300D and used to rag the chit out of it like I do with all cars.
The fastest I could be driving in 4th and still downshift was at 60mph
It would shoot to around 3500RPM and shift back into 4th around 80mph tops.

I never took it much higher than 100mph because the car isnt that stable at speeds above that. Around 105+ a strong gust of wind could push you into another lane in split second.
