I think my uncles cavalier does that, when it has sat for a while (not all that long, days usually) and he starts it up and puts it in drive, it revs for a moment, then starts to move a little, then does normally(very delayed reaction). It didn't do this when it was newer. I'm assuming torque converter as well. Its the pre-historic GM 3-speed auto tranny with the 2.2liter ecotec 4cyl gasser. Engine runs fine (though in cold weather it complains about starting, lots of cranking when its real cold out...has done that since around 85k), tranny is weird sometimes. 108k on the clock (its 10 years old) All things considered it runs pretty good, but it has to be the most stiff tin can like cars ever. I'd never be able to drive one..... its just too unpleasant/weird.
