W123 Wagon Fuel Tanks
Hey guys,
I recently got a 79 300td. I have been running wvo for quite awhile in other vehicles of mine. Im looking at making a tank for the rear cargo area and have been looking around on the internet for some ideas. I have found some that people have made and sold but realized that there are not any "nice" ones currently for sale that fit well in the opposite side to the spare tire. Im a full time fabricator that has a shop and I thought about doing a small run of tanks if I could get enough interest in them. I'm not looking to start a crazy group by/deposit/cash grab, whatever deal. Just testing the waters. I'd most likely throw them up on ebay and post a link up for people interested. Tanks would be all 1/8 aluminum construction, hot fox, stainless level sensor, 3" filler, sight tube for monitoring when filling.. Im also interested I buying a w124 and could possibly make them in the future. Just testing the waters, Let me know if you would be interested? Thanks Reagen |

Hi Reagen,
If you are thinking of making these tanks I know you will find interest! Lots of wagon owners have been searching for a solution for years.... Here you can find a thread where a few of us were looking at different ideas. http://www.peachparts.com/shopforum/alternative-fuels/112568-second-tank-tailgate-wvo-conversion-4.html I especially like the two tanks that replace the stock tank... I've had my wagon for 8 years now and have always wanted to do a nice WVO conversion but have never found a good custom tank! If you do end up making these I am definitely interested. Thanks for posting!
