W210 rust?!! drivers side spring perch half ripped off
I was doing a little research into them because I am considering one. But I don't know now. I was over at MB world reading about all of the rusty CA W210's.
![]() I thought I wanted a W210 but now I'm not so sure. I may go over to, dare I say it? Lexus. Nice clean LS400's are reliable, have a nice driveline and don't rust. Or maybe a mint W124. I don't know, maybe I should try to get the best 1995 E420 I can find and wait and see how the W211's work out.

w210
I checked out a 1998 E300D found in the local classifieds awhile back, but decided to stick with the '87 300D. A search on this site discloses: spring perch rust issues, glow plug change nightmares, intake manifold sensor problems, etc, etc. Would rather take my chances with the #14 head cracking (124-603) than have a front wheel collapse at high speed (210).

A nice '95 E420 would be an awesome car. I personally like that body style better although lots of complaints about the climate control if it's the same one as my '94 wagon.
