well the results are pretty sweet! i have been contemplating doing half the work myself. i can deal with surface rust. replacing a cowl panel, i think i leave that to the pros.

good to know it took a few weeks. i have this fear the body shop will want my car for 2 months.

thanks

John -

I live in Balto County and might want some minor bodywork and paint done on an 87 300TD. Would your guy be interested? It's a third car for me, so if the price is right I could leave it for a while.

Restore

How much did this restoration cost you? This is along the lines of what I want done to my 240D. Lucky you!

I started laughing when I saw this. I thought,'"Oh a 300TD restoration. I'm going to see what they did to theirs." Then I realized it was the car I have now. It's nice to be able to see the work done on MY car before I got it.

Thanks for posting these progress pictures, John.

I have to say this is a schweeeeet car! I've had it for about a year and a half now. I runs great and looks terrific. I have gotten compliments on it wherever I go. It's pretty nice to have a "head-turner" that is twenty-five years old.

The newest pictures are on top....

LR quarter was finished today. So far the whole left side, all the lower cladding and both bumpers have been painted. We may move it up to the garage here to finiish shooting the whole thing.
