Question

1998 E320 need cd changer

I have a 1998 E320. I need a disc changer but don't know if I need fiber optic or not??? Please help!!

no fiber optics till 1999. whats the production date? The dead giveaway is a 1to10 keypad for presets on the radio. There are two models of alpine that work with an adapter. I use the mbzil from pripheral.
