2001 E320 CD Changer Skips!!!

The factory cd-changer in my car is skipping every time I hit a bump. Is there a way to fix this or do I need to replace the changer? I have an alpine CD changer I was thinking of using but was wondering if I would need to hardwire it or does anyone make an adaptor? Thanks for your help!

Have you tried a CD cleaning kit?

To the best of my knowledge, you can not use and 3rd party changer.
