OK to use lead from battery for constant on head unit?

If not, where would be the best place. I'm tired of resetting my EQ every time I turn off the car. Some people have mentioned using the flasher for this, but I don't want to open up the harness to find which one it is. Otherwise, does anyone know the correct wire to use? Thanks.

Just remember to fuse any wire that carries a constant 12 Volts!
