Becker Radio Comes On But No Sound
HEY GUYS,
HAD A NEW ALTERNATOR INSTALLED IN MY 1987 260E. SINCE THEN I HAVE NO AUDIO EITHER THRU MY RADIO OR MY CD CHANGER BUT BOTH ARE ON. THE GARAGE SAID THAT I MIGHT NEED A CODE FOR THE RADIO SINCE THEY HAD TO DISCONNECT THE BATTERY. THE THING IS, I'VE REPLACED THE BATTERY BEFORE AND NEVER HAD ANY PROBLEMS WITH THE AUDIO. PLUS THE WORD "CODE" DOES NOT SHOW UP ON THE SCREEN JUST THE USUAL RADIO STATIONS. COULD IT BE BECAUSE THE ALTERNATOR WAS SWAPPED THIS TIME? OR IS THERE A FUSE OR RELAY FOR THE SPEAKER SYSTEM? WOULD APPREACIATE ANY ADVICE GUYS! NEED MY BEATS BAD! ![]() Last edited by Harv; 07-10-2006 at 07:33 PM. |

Is There A Built-in Amp Somewhere In The System? Everything Is Factory Made Except The Cd-changer Of Course, That Was Already Installed When I Purchased The Car. Never Had A Problem Until Now. Where Is Your Amp? Harv |

Have you been tinkering around inside your center console/shifter area?

Make sure your fader dial in the center consul. The radio will play yet you will get no sound if the fader dial is funky.
