Power antenna mast installation ?
My antenna mast broke and self ejected the cable and top of mast before I could see which way the teeth on the cable went. Does anyone know which way the teeth should face front, rear, drivers, passengers side? Thanks for any help.

wrong place-should be posted in audio. but if you look at eth antennae assy as a whole, the teeth go in so that the cord can wrap itself tighter. got it?

Sorry
Sorry, wasnt thinking about posting in the audio section. But "go in" in relation to what? I would think the teeth would go toward the front of the car but it hit the ground before I could see.

Hmmmm I hate to say I'm positive as I have a horrible memory when it comes to things like this but I just replaced mine and the teeth faced the back. You will know when you do it. It will either work or not work.
As for the installation it is a 2 person job. Place the teeth down the hole while the antenna is up. Then with a small amount of presurre push down as the person in the car puts the antenna down. Then let go and have them put it back up. Reapeat as needed. I did mine about 6-7 times and it stopped going down any further. It does not go down all the way but is very close. Good luck and enjoy the radio again ![]()
