I'm in the process of installing a Sprint PCS hands free kit in my wife's 2000 ML320 & need help identifying the stereo mute lead.

I've removed the unit itself, and locating power leads is simple enough. I just don't know how my trusty multi-meter can help me identify the stereo mute/interrupt wire.

This vehicle has the command console which is capable of navigation info (not activated) and a faceplate which tilts down to reveal a cassette input behind - just in case the radio itself is common with other benz models.

Keep us posted on your project. I would like to do the same thing you're doing. I asked at the Sprint store and the salesperson was clueless, I called the dealer parts and they didn't know about Sprint and the ML.

I've got the StarTac and want the advantages of the integrated MCS phone hookup, but, I wasn't as brave as you to take this on!
