Speaker wiring.

Okay heres the deal. I just bought new tweeters for my cars(1992 300E) front dash speakers. By the way, they are Polk db1000's an they sound great. they are from crutchfield. But heres my question. I like my music loud...and I have an aftermarket alpine head unit, which is also a good choice. But...my head unit does have enough power for the new tweeters an door speakers. since they are run on the same channel. What i mean by that is the front right door and dash speaker are wired together, and the front left door and dash speaker are together. So my idea is to take the two channels that go to the rear, an hook the door speakers into them. Then run the two channels that are split between my dash and door speakers, to soley my front dash speakers. Then..when i get the money, i will buy an amplifier and use the pre-amp outputs to power my rear speakers in the back of the car. So....sound like a good idea.

And...heres my big question

Im not quite sure how the two front right, and two front left speakers are wired together. I need to get in there somehow and cut the connection and run it to just my tweeters in the dash. I know that the rear speaker wire runs alongside the right side of the cars carpet. But...where can i access this wire to make the changes I need for what I described above. ANY HELP WOULD BE SUPER!!!

Thanks

Imho

It will work but how would it sound without the rear speakers?
I do not know your car but I bet you will loose a lot of bass.
I would live with it until you can afford the amp unless it sounds
ok with the fader set all the way to the front.
You could try to wire the front speakers in parallel but the alpine
might not like to drive 2 ohms.

well as soon as i get the money, which wont b long, i am plannin on using the pre amp output off my alpine head unit, i will run an amp off that and power two larger speakers that i will put in the rear. but already one of my stock rear speakers is blown and i dont hear them much anyways, so i dont think it will hurt. and actually, im gonna go do it now, so ill let u all kno what happens
