1987 W126 Blue Wire to Antenna Switch Missing ??
Today I was on the phone to Crutchfield making sure the connections where correct on my new Alpine head unit. I have ran new speaker wire front and back, and am installing an PDX-4.100 Alpine amp in the trunk. Speakers are on the way.
![]() So I am scratching my head after I got off the phone, because I just plugged the antenna switch into its wire harness yesterday after installing a crack free zebrano trim panel, and I distinctly remember the "Blue" wire didn't connect to this switch. The blue wire kinda disappears into the console behind the radio up under the dash. What am I missing? I am confused because the distance between the head unit and the antenna switch is what, twelve inches? Where does this blue wire for the power antenna terminate? Getting fried with all these electrical issues. Previous jerk owner was to practice the cut and remove system of repair. ![]()

Get out a multimeter. It should be 12v when the car is on, blue w/ white tracer I believe. AKA amp turn on lead.
Are you missing it off the new radio or in the harness?
