1990 190e antenna power and seal issues

I have a 1990 190E 2.6 and I just purchased a used antenna from a 1986 190e.

The antenna seal that I have (two-part seal) does not fit on the antenna. My first question is, will it fit on my 1990 if I put the 1986 antenna seal? (1 piece)

Second thing is, I just realized that pin #2 does not get power. Looking at the wiring diagrams, it is connected to the fusebox and is always-hot 12V

this also explains why my rear trunk lamp is dead since it gets power from the same wire bundle.

my question is, does anybody know which wire bundle this is or if there's a common 'breaking point' that I should check?

thanks!
Holson
