stereo code
I changed the original battery in my used 1996 C280. The stereo is asking for a code. The owners manual says I should have code cards in the glove box, but they are missing. Anybody have a solution? My vin is WDBH28E9TF382511

Remove the radio to find the serial number, then take that and your VIN to the dealer.

Most dealers can get the code from your Vin #, no need to pull radio

Yes. I just was able to get a code for a car I was thinking about buying from just the VIN number. They had done the same thing. Changed the battery. And no code card. So we simply called and they gave it to us. Helped that the seller knew the dealer too I think.
