Suggestions on reducing road noise

I am planning on installing a completely new sound system in my W123 300D Turbodiesel. In this attempt to achieve the best sound out of the system, I would also like to find a way to reduce road noise... I was looking at B-Quiet brand "Brown Bread" sound deadening insulation that is installed underneath the carpet. Does anyone have any experience using this sort of product?? does anyone ahve any reccomendations on what to do?
