What to do on a friday night. Fiancee is with mom, friends already
scattered on their own missions....hmmm... Well, after giving my baby 190 cossy a fresh blood supply of oil and a filter, I wondered how I could improve her. Then I remembered that I have a new pair of kenwood 6 1/2" that I recently took out from my deceased 300 TD. WoW! I did not believe they would be so easy to install, I didn't even really expect them to fit! In 40 min. I had an impressive dynamic and base gain from throwing the puppies in. I took out the port enclosures that were set for the little 4" wizzers. The speakers are almost completely flush on the back side on the baffle board, it's honestly minimal. So with this I checked out the fronts to possibly put in a pair of 3 1/2" Inf. Kappas (yeah, I hold on to everything when it comes to audio), but they were to small so I'll probably purchase a pair of 4" polks down the road. Anyway, I remember reading that 5 1/4" were pretty much the limit for the back speakers of a 190e without much work, wrong. ![]() fusion |
