300CE Becker Questions

Can anyone tell me the "Spec's of the Becker Grand Prix in my 300CE?

I understand it's only 20-25 watts or so split between the 4 speakers if I have heard the correct info.

I want to replace the factory speakers with a "mild upgrade". The current sound is'nt really "too bad now".

Anyone upgrade speakers with the stock system?.

Also, Does anyone know if there are any "line in" jacks etc on this for an amp? (yes I know, I'm "reaching" but being a Becker, you never know...)

and Last Question (I promise). I'm so used to my other cars,....How is this factory unit removed? Anyone that has removed one, please give me your input should I decide to remove/replace it.

you might benefit more from a radio change than a speaker change in the car.

My car has factory speakers, and sounds very good with an aftermarket head unit for what it is.

Scott from lajolla audio has some speakers he can sell you that are a direct drop in replacement for the dash, and I am sure he has something nice for the rear too.

personally In my opinion, I would upgrade the radio first, then go for speakers.

What year is your car? 1990? Alon is right I sell a direct drop in speaker for the 124 cars. Let me know the year and I can tell you alittle more about it!

The car is a 1989.

I just use the car for work. The sound really is'nt too bad now. I most likely will upgrade the head unit but since it sounds pretty good until you really crank it up, I figured a nice set of replacements could be in order.
