Alpine 7894 In 92 300CE - PeachParts Mercedes-Benz Forum

I just replaced my Becker 1432 system with a new Alpine 7894.
I bypassed the Becker amps and used the original speakers..

Everying works fine EXCEPT....It does not sound anywhere near as good as the old 1432....less bass even on FX. Sounds "tinny" The bass and treble adjustments for the Alpine seem to have little effect..especially at low volume levels....

Has anyone else experienced the same disappointment????

I have not experienced that problem with that radio, is your defeat function on?

defeat should be off if you want to use your alpine internal amp. ALso turn on Media Expander MX.

I use the mercedes amp, and that gives me a good sound. Also there are TONS of settings with the alpine deck, so look into it. Like the high and low filters etc...
