MB newby stereo question

I just picked up a new to me 94' E320. On the original sticker it say it had an upgraded stereo option. What does that mean? Is it just a CD changer, or did they add speakers, amps etc.? How many speakers are in this car and are there any suggested upgrades without changing the stock head unit? Thanks-CJ

I just means that you have 2 amps and 10 speakers. The first upgrade I recomend is new dash speakers as they are the worst speakers in the car. I sell a direct drop in speaker as they are an odd size @ 4 7/8 in and the 4's are too small and the 5.25's are to big. The speakers I sell are the rainbow sl 120's and are made in Germany just for the 124 cars. Here is a pic, let me know if you are interested in them.

I don't want to hijack your thread, but I have a similar situation.

My '95 E-320 has the CD changer in the trunk and the subwoofers in the doors. If I have ten speakers, where are they? I count two on the dash, two on the rear deck, two in the front doors, which makes six. Maybe I don't have that option.

In either case, I'd like to upgrade my speakers in the dash too. Can you email me with the prices and info? Thanks.

PS I'm the guy going through the XM radio installation/broken unit fiasco with Best Buy. You guys have been great through it and I'll post the "ordeal" when I finally get the unit in and running. (Going on two months now.)

Believe it or not in the rear there are 2 tweeters and a mid on each side = 6 speakers in the rear shelf. The speakers are $160.00 per pair or $300.00 for 2 pairs + s&h if you are interested you can call my shop @800-467-6545 and we can help you.
