My new head unit only has one blue wire - my old one had two, one for a power antenna and one for amplifiers. My question is, if I splice the existing antenna turn-on lead into the SAME wire that is the amplifier turn-on lead, will the antenna rise whenever the stereo is turned on, regardless if the radio is operated or not?

Yes it will, do you still have your switch for your antenna in the dash? If you do then you can just turn it off via the switch.....
