How to remove the original Becker radio in (1980) W116 300SD?
Dear friends:
Could someone tell me how to remove the original Becker radio from a (1980) W116 300SD and replace it with an aftermarket radio/CD player (which wires...)? Thanks a lot. Best regards, Eric

Eric,
There is a ton of info I believe in the Car Audio section. Have you tried searching there? The key is in regard to the central fader, which most people bypass all together. All the speaker leads go to the fader. I have done this before. I detached the wires from the fronts and ran them back to the radio head. I detached the rears, attached two new wires, respecting + and -, and ran those up to the radio head. I left the old fader in place, but just no longer functional. Haasman
