Alternator or Capacitor?

Ok, I'm going to be installing a stereo system in my '92 300D, w124. I know I am going to be needing about 600w of power at regular loads.. I currently forget what that converts into amps.

Here's my question though. I have heard that my car only has a 70 amp alternator stock, and I know for a fact that that isn't enough to handle it. Which would be a better option for my situation? Just buy a 1-farad capacitor off of SoundDomain or someplace like that? Or, should I spend another $70-$80 to get a new alternator?

Thanks for your input..

(PS: I searched the forums.. but it wouldn't let me find anything.)
