W210 dash cracks

I see some very good alternatives for repairing dashes of older models, but not much for someone like me who owns a 2000 E-class with a defective dash. I guess my question is: is there a manufacturer out there who makes a coverlay like the ones for the W107's? Repair kits and crack fillers scare me as they hardly ever look good.

Hi there, actually I have never seen a dash crack repair that didn’t look obvious. It is simply because when the dash cracks, it get separated and also the edge of the crack also lift or have some curl and will make impossible to be smooth. Believe me because I already did that on the dash of my Mercedes Benz.

I am looking forward in seeing some more ideas. Good luck!

Great news!

I contacted Coverlay manufacturing and they are seriously looking into manufacturing a mold for the W210's cracked dashes. I was told to check with them in 2 to 3 months.

It would be great! I have 2000 E-320 wagon with cracked dash. I have idea to wrap it with leather, but I found that wrapping process it pretty tricky. If Coverlay will make the dash cover for W210 it would be really GREAT!.

I'll keep hounding them every month until they build the mold.
