Removing tar/tree sap from paint
Found out today a little grain alcohol on a paper towel will remove tree sap on car. Got a bunch off wife's GLK today which was predominately pine tree sap.

If that's the case, then so will diesel fuel.

I'm pretty sure it will, pine sap is dissolved by most petroleum based solvents I suspect. I threw the WD out their because there are many, many millions of cans laying around within easy reach to get a small amount and get the sap off sooner rather than later. Left in place my experience is that the sap will eventually dissolve the clear and the paint if it remains on the finish very long. WD is good for removing many adhesives as well |

Personally, to remove traces of tar I use kerozene. It works well too.
