Adhesive drips on PAINT!!! 380SL, w107
Hey there, just did a careful job of replacing the hood pad. unfortunately the newspaper covering part of a fender fell off and a few drops of adhesive got on the paint.
the paint is only a few years old, it is immaculate, and well cared for. how do you recommend i get the adhesive off? should i have it professionally cleaned off? the adhesive remover i used to remove the old pad says it won't mar properly aged paint. should i try that? im nervous, please help!!! thanks eric

Glue on fender
Eric,
Go to your local Bodyshop or paint supply store and ask for some achsol. This is a mild solvent used to remove finger prints and grease marks from mechnics on new cars will not stain the finish on your new paint but would recommend rewaxing the fender after . Bob |
