I am looking for a way to replace the wood dash and door trim in my 83 300SD. I looked all over the web for someone that sells an aftermarket replacement with no luck. Is finding it in a salvage car my only option?
Thanks,

I'd go to a wrecking yard. It's fast, easy & super cheap

or check these guys -
http://www.slaccessories.com/CatalogPage.php?Page=26 Also you can try to do a search in Ebaymotors under "parts and accessories" - plug in the words "mercedes wood" and you'll find quite a few bits. It's more of a hunt but if you do find what you need it will be much less than going retail. |

I've used Goop, the automotive one, and they haven't budged since.

GoWolfpack,
I know from experience that various brands of epoxy don't hold as well as you might think under my Southwest sun. I like TonySz's idea of GOOP automotive. E6000 Adhesive (try a Michael's Arts and Crafts) is the cognescenti's choice, however, in fine, frugal, fiscally conservative, financially challenged Mercedes Benz interior restoration (particularly the wood to aluminum undersheeting). ![]()
