Clay Magic
Needed to replace the Meguier's clay bar I have been using and after reading about Clay Magic I puchased it this weekend. I should have stuck with Meguiers.
Opened up the package, sprayed the hood of my burgundy 300TE with the lube and started to clay it (after a wash). Having clayed my cars multiple times over the years with good results I did not notice that the Clay Magic was putting scratches/swirl marks in the clearcoat until I was approx 1/3 finished with the hood of the car! I was using the clay properly, turning it over, folding it and using plenty of lubricant. I examined the clay afterwards and found no large contaminates! I probably have clayed my cars 5 times with the Meguire's clay over the years, NEVER had a problem like this. What a mess. Even my wife commented on it and she rarely pays any attention to her vehicle.
While most of you are enamored with Clay Magic, my opinion is to stay as far away from this product as possible. By the way does anyone want a barely used bar of Clay Magic? It's all yours.
Looks like I will be buffing out the hood this weekend with #9.
