w123 and ABS

were any of these cars offered with ABS?

Also, I read the benzworld forum thing, and am aware that some consider dieselers like us to be second class for whatever reason. Especially those of us who have 20 yo cars. But why? The only difference between us and them, the ones with the '80s gas cars, is the diesel engine. Everything else about the cars are the same, no? I also thought that diesels were more expensive engines than gas, due to the more robust construction and so forth.

I have always like the look of the w123 cars, and even like the look of the DOT headlights. When I see a nicely running and/or looking car like this, I have respect for the driver, not pity. These are some cool cars.
