This forum is the first and usually the last place I go for info and parts for my Benz. and besides it makes me feel good to know that I am not always the dumbest kid on the block. One bad thing, though, if it was not for all the info and tech help avaliable here, I would be able to find more parts cars in the junkyard.

Hopefully one day I can be giving the advice instead of seeking it, but this place is already indispensable to me.

Me, I'm always willing to try something once. Take my turbo charger for instance, I had no second thoughts about ripping the thing off at 1:45 in the morning, and taking it to work and rebuilding it. I turn to the forums to bouce new ideas off the group or to get clarification on systems that I don't fully understand. I don't think I'd still own my car if it weren't for the forums and people like Lance, Brian, Pjc, and several others who are very much in "the know" all I have to say is THANKS!

I'm new to this site, kinda new to MBs, not new to a wrench but my lil 190 D has no literature and the nearest benz mechanic is 120 miles down the road, I'm no longer neighbors to the coal mines to ask the diesel mechanics for their ideas so this place is lookin like a diamond to me. I've promised my middle son the 190 as a wedding present so I'm gonna be doing some work to tidy it up for him and his bride to be.

I always liked Bone. But only in the forums other than OD.

Every other post was "gddamn librals bush hating berkeley loving sonsa*****es, bush is doing great" etc etc

I rely on a couple MB forums for diesel support. While I've always had an affinity for older Benz diesels, this is the first one I've ever owned and didn't, well still don't, know squat about them. I've fiddled with gas engines for a good chunk of my life and I owned a 6.2L Suburban but MB diesels are a different matter. So far the search functions have served me well so I haven't had to ask many questions that weren't already posted allowing me to avoid looking like more of a noob than I already am.

I rely on the OD forum for all of my replacement window information.

I'll seek help here when I get stumped on something. I also try to offer up suggestions whenever I can.

I get almost all of my help from here. I got a lot more in the past from a lot of the folks that choose not to come around anymore.
There are way too many "wrong" answers being thrown around now. I'm guessing the folks doing this have good intentions, but that doesn't make the info correct.
I hope the really informed members still here choose to hang around for awhile. I'll be needing more help, I feel sure......
