does our every day driving dish out the same abuse as A taxi service

just wondering if our every day normal driving is any where near the same as A taxi company I have an 82 240d which I know they used for quite awhile, anyways any info would be great. BTW did they beef up their cars for taxi service or are they factory stock? thanks
