I am seriously thinking about buying a wrecked '79 300SD for the engine only and I was wondering if anyone would be interested in anything else from this car. Basically the everything behind the front cowl is salvageable except the dash because it was a head on crash. The car is blue with a blue interior.
Please let me know with any wish lists. I doubt I will ask more than $50 for anything except the rear axle.

dibs on the oil cooler if not smashed? It probably is if it was a head-on, then again, they also have 14" bumpers.
How was the dash damaged in the crash? If it doesn't have any cracks I'd take it. I have a blue interior.

The crash was hard enough that the "safety cage" was deformed and the roof even buckled. The dash as well as the windshield was destroyed in the wreck. The steering column was bent upward and the drivers footwell buckled. I think that the driver's door is damaged as well. It might have a good door panel on that side still.
Yes the oil cooler is toast because that's the side that took the hit.
